Good Product Quality and Professional Customer Service, but Stock Availability Needs Improvement
Recently, we visited Croma, Adyar, Chennai, to purchase several home appliances, including a mixer, refrigerator, induction stove, iron box, and fan. Overall, our shopping experience was good, and we are happy with the products we purchased. The quality of the products has been very good so far, and we are satisfied with our purchases.
One of the biggest positives of our experience was the customer executive who assisted us. The executive was very professional, explained the available options, and helped us explore different products before making our decisions. Having someone who can guide customers properly, explain product features, and help them choose according to their requirements makes a big difference, especially when purchasing multiple home appliances at once. We appreciate the professional approach and support provided by the executive.
However, there was one major disappointment during our shopping experience, and I believe Croma needs to pay attention to this issue.
While selecting our appliances, we were shown several products and models in the showroom. We spent time comparing the options, checking the features, and deciding which products would be suitable for our needs. But after we selected certain products, we were informed that some of them were not available, were out of stock, or that the particular model had been discontinued by the brand.
This was frustrating because we had already spent time examining those products and considering them for purchase. If a product is no longer available, if the model has been discontinued, or if there is no stock available, why is it still being displayed as an option for customers without clear information about its availability?
Customers visit a showroom to see products in person, compare different models, understand their features, and make informed purchasing decisions. When a customer finally selects a product only to discover that it cannot be purchased, it wastes time and creates unnecessary disappointment. Customers may then have to start the selection process all over again and compromise on their original preferences.
I understand that stock availability can change and that brands may discontinue certain models. These situations are understandable. However, the showroom should ideally maintain updated information about product availability. If a displayed model is discontinued or unavailable, customers should be informed before spending time evaluating it. Clearly marking such products as display-only, discontinued, or currently unavailable would help customers make better decisions.
My suggestion to Croma is to improve coordination between showroom displays, inventory information, and the sales team. Keeping product availability updated would make the shopping experience much smoother and more transparent. It would also help customer executives provide accurate information from the beginning, reducing confusion and saving customers valuable time.
Despite this concern, I would like to appreciate the professional customer service we received and the quality of the products we eventually purchased. We bought five different appliances in one visit, and we are happy with the products.
Final verdict: Good product quality, professional customer assistance, and a generally positive shopping experience. However, product display and stock availability need significant improvement. A showroom should help customers make confident purchasing decisions, not leave them disappointed after they have already selected a product.
I hope the Croma Adyar team takes this feedback constructively and improves the experience for future customers. With better stock management and more transparent product availability, the overall shopping experience could be much better.
